Maureen D. Caughran

Maureen Caughran designs and conducts training, team building, and strategic planning sessions for all types of organizations and all levels of management and staff. Courses developed include: High Performance Management, Effective Presentation Skills, Creative Problem Solving, Rational Decision Making, Motivating Self and Others, Time and Self Management, Organization Systems and Tools, Team Skills, Using the MBTI to Improve Communication and Teamwork, Positive Self/Positive Service, Professional Writing, and many others dealing with performance management and interpersonal skills.  She also conducts Train the Trainer workshops, providing facilitation skills and working with trainers to add creative training techniques to their existing workshops to ensure involvement and learning. Maureen facilitates strategic planning sessions and management retreats: helping groups to address issues; focus on mission and develop goals, objectives, and action plans; and come to closure with a final plan. In addition to working with groups, Maureen does individual coaching, helping clients to clarify goals and develop strategies to achieve them. Maureen has been a management trainer and consultant for over twenty years, in both the public and private sectors. She has held management positions at The Federal Reserve Board and The Charles E. Smith Companies. She received a Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in Human Systems and Organizational Behavior from The George Washington University. She received her B.A. from The Ohio State University and a Diploma from the Cours de Civilisation Française at the University of Paris.  She served as an ESL instructor in the Peace Corps in Tunis, Tunisia.
